 Does anyone remember Melinda's "Ultimate Bloody Mary" recipe from several years ago? I recall that it used some unique ingredients like tomato paste and that it really was a great Bloody Mary. Anyone having the recipe would be my hero forever! Thanks!

The trick is where you drink it! I have found that no matter how you make it, you must put it in a large thermos and transport it either to a tailgate for a concert such as Interlochen, go to the beach behind a sand dune, preferably northern Lake Michigan, or my personal favorite, my creek that runs down by my house. I place a plastic Adorondack chair in the creek just above the rapids, put on my straw hat, turn the portable radio on to some classical music, sit with my feet and my behind in the cool( some say cold) water, pour myself a glass of the Bloody Mary( I prefer mine on the spicy side with homemade pickled Brussel sprouts) and read some of my favorite cooking magazines. I can hardly wait for 90 degrees to arrive here. Nothing else will do in this situation, but a Bloody Mary!

Xmascarol being a former Michigander I can relate! We do not have that in southern California! The trees and smell are what I miss the most.

My British friends also drink Beer Bloody Marys where beer is used for the alcohol. Anyway you do it, it's all good! :D
