I am looking for a long lost recipe I got in Germany (1969) for beef rouladen (without pickles). Can you help? My family is asking for this long ago favorite dish.

Thank you

Hello Anna, and welcome to Let's Talk.

I am not familiar with German Rouladen, but I googled "Recipe for beef rouladen" (no quotes) and "Recipe for German Rouladen" (no quotes) and found recipes with pickles and without pickles.

Hopefully, someone with a recipe that will meet your needs will post it.

My father who was born in Germany made rouladen but his recipe had pickles in it. Maybe your recipe just left them out. I'll check my German cookbook and see if there is a recipe without them. If you want I'll post his recipe.
